The Nirmal Bharat Yatra
was a sanitation & hygiene awareness & behavior change campaign conceptualized & implemented by WASH United & Quicksand. It travelled 2,000 kms across rural parts of 5 Indian states between 2nd October 2012 & 19th November 2012.

Run Chakkar (Wheel of Fortune)
GAME PLAY
Cricket and sanitation theme wheel of fortune style quiz game.This game is ideally a multi- player game, wherein each player/team gets 6 spins on the wheel. The team which makes the most runs wins.
Each spin leads to one question, correct answers give the player wide,2,4 and 6 runs respectively, while wrong answers lead to run outs, bowled, caught and stumped.
In a single player format, the player has 6 turns to make a minimum of 16 runs.
This game could be a stall based game or an outdoor game.

Gulel Baaz (Poo Hoops)
GAME PLAY
Cut-outs in the shape of squat toilets in varying sizes are placed along a wall. The player has to aim for the toilets. Each cut-out has a different value, with the prize set at a total of 100 points in three tries.

This game can be played by both adults and children above the age of 5. Required scores and prizes can be altered for children and adults.

Goli Baaz (Poo Marbles)
GAME PLAY
Kanchey’ or marbles is a popular game in India, especially in the rural parts of the country. Can be played by single/ two players. Poo marbles of two colors,each player needs to get his poo pieces into the loo first. The two colors could also represent points in a single player variant.

This game can be played by both adults and children above the age of 7.

Pot Shot or "Poo in the Loo"
GAME PLAY
Using poo-balls the players try to aim for the bulls-eye on a board shaped like a squattoilet. Each participant gets three tries and a successful bullseye wins a prize.
This game also allows lends itself to a multi- player format wherein participants compete against each other.

Chuppa Chup (Clean Hands Challenge)
GAME PLAY
Germ targets marked out on a large hand- shaped cut-out act as targets which the players have to successfully hit with a wet soapy sponge. Three tries for two correct hits wins a prize

Dhishoom (Germ Attack)
GAME PLAY
The participant has to topple a pyramid using soap/soap bubble ball in three tries. The pyramid is made using blocks/bottles that have germs painted on them.
Different sizes of the pyramids will help in engaging people from all age groups by varying the game’s difficulty. This could also be adapted to be a multi-player game/ tournament style game for larger groups.

Dho Dala (Germ Pyramid)
GAME PLAY
The participants have to successfully hit a minimum of two ‘germs’ suspended from a ceiling, using bubble balls. Each player gets three tries and two successful hits wins a prize.

Ghumao Chalao (Roll to the Finish)
GAME PLAY
A multi-player game where the player races to get his poo to the loo first. Progress is made through dice rolls. Each track has multiple penalty and bonus tiles - if a player lands on these tiles they need to answer a sanitation related question to progress

This game can be played by both adults and children above the age of 5. For younger audiences the simpler questions will be asked.

Aao Milao (Complete the Picture)
GAME PLAY
A jigsaw style puzzle, the participant needs to assemble the pieces to complete the picture. The images would be hand-washing posters and will be designed such that the participant needs to understand the steps of handwashing to complete the picture.
Similar posters can be created for toilets to ensure hand-washing after defecation.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This game can be played by both adults and children above the age of 5. The game could have two variants (20 piece/30 piece/ 36 piece) variants for different ages.
Prizes will be different for adults and children.

Teen Behetereen (Tic Tac Toe)
GAME PLAY
Similar to Tic-Tac-Toe, the player needs to throw three soap bubble balls onto a line of germs. If they get all three in a line in the highlighted row (dastasur row) , the player receives a bonus prize.

World Toilet Cup
Based on the football variant created by WASH United, the player needs aim the poo ball of tees arranged at various heights into the two toilet targets.
Clean Bowled (Bowl Out Diarrhea)
GAME PLAY
The player needs to bowl out the dastasur (diarrhea demon).
This game can be played by a single player.
(2 hits in 6 balls) or as a team similar to the bowl out used as a tie breaker in newer cricket formats.

Tatti Ke Khiladi (Poo Minefield)
GAME PLAY
Two players form a team where one is blind- folded and the other player guides them through the minefield. Using only verbal commands the player has to ensure that their blind-folded team-mate navigates the minefield without coming into contact ‘with poo mines’ Each time the player comes in contact with the mines they loose a life point. Each team has two lives and have to navigate the game in 2 minutes to win the game.

Musical Toilets
GAME PLAY
An adaptation of Musical chairs, this game starts with any number of players(max 12) and a number of squat toilets is one fewer than the number of players; the toilets are arranged in the arena. While the music is playing, the players walk/run in unison around the chairs. When the music player suddenly stops the music, everyone must race to squat on one
of the toilets. The player who is left without a toilet is eliminated from the game, and one toilet is removed at every round. The music resumes and the cycle repeats until there is only one player left in the game, who is the winner.

GAME PLAY
A variation of the standard Ludo board game, it can be played by 2-4 players. Players race from homes to the toilet through dice rolls.

GAME PLAY
This is a card game in which all of the cards are laid face down on a surface and two cards are flipped face up over each turn. The object of the game is to turn over pairs of matching cards. It can be played with any number of players and is an especially good game for young children, though adults may find it challenging and stimulating as well.
